Bonsai - 'the art of tree in a pot'
I was reading a good local business magazine and was attracted to this idea of bonsai horticulture. This was about a person who grew his bonsai garden for quite a few decades and how he has reaped in tonnes of money, a great looking garden, hundreds of exhibitions and last but not the least 'peace of mind' with these little funny looking trees

So what is bonsai?

It is an ancient art form that originated in china, known as Pen-Jing, where it is still popular today, however the japanese were the major influence on Bonsai in western culture. Chinese tress being less stylized than their japanese counterparts.

The term Bonsai literally means - 'a plant in a tray', the generally accepted meaning, however is ' a tree in a pot'
